The name BLKBRD is inspired by the legendary Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird—a stealth reconnaissance aircraft used by the U.S. Air Force from the 1960s to 1998. Known for its unmatched performance and groundbreaking design, the SR-71 still holds the record as the fastest manned aircraft in history, capable of speeds over Mach 3.5 and altitudes above 85,000 feet.

In the same spirit of precision, innovation, and exceeding limits, BLKBRD CO was founded to push boundaries in unmanned aerial system operations and redefine what’s possible from the sky.
